- The Malibu Estate Rosenthal
- The Malibu Estate was the first official AVA vineyard in Newton Canyon.
George Rosenthal helped to bring winemaking to Malibu on a commercial level. His
winery makes some quality wines from a number of varietals including Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay, to name a few. Their Meritage and Block M wines
are truly exceptional as well. The
estate and vineyards are located 1400 feet above the beaches of Malibu in the
hills. The tasting room however is located on Pacific Coast Highway where you
can sip some wine and enjoy ocean views. At
the estate, the winery hosts numerous private events, weddings, and tours. The
estate tour features some items of interest like an intact portion of the Berlin
Wall.
Tasting Room Hours:
Monday through Thursday: 2 pm - 8 pm
Friday: 2 pm - 10 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 11 am to 10 pm
